This page and the one following has been kindly submitted by DeWitt
Roberts. DeWitt is one of the early Combat Tracker BJWS graduates and we are very
grateful to him and his lovely wife, Rose, for sharing these memories with us. The
stamps on the left are captured North Viet Namese stamps. Note the Soviet Union
"Hammer and Sickle" on the left stamp-and the "George Washington (?) of
Viet Nam" on the right stamp. |

be remembered for his good nature and pleasant smile. All of the men were BJWS

This is a photo of William Allison Anderson who was KIA in 1969. He was a
member of the 66th IPCT attached to the 25th Infantry Division. William is to be
remembered as a cheerful young man with an energetic and delightful personality.
DeWitt says that it was an honor to have William on his Team. |

DeWitt sent us this photo of Sp.4 Glen Schlechter, Coverman for the 66th
IPCT with the 25th Inf. Div. "at ease" with his Black Lab Tracker Dog, Butch.
Butch usually worked to the side of the trail on a drift scent. He was a hard
worker and a little bit crazy. More than one Handler was bitten for invading his personal
space! |
