GA-6.jpg (21010 bytes) The 64th IPCT at the "Oasis" which was the Headquarters for the 1st Brigade of the 4th Inf. Div.  From L to R: Sgt. Robertson, Roy Bowers, Goldie, Greg Albertson, and Ike Hawkins.
GA-8.jpg (11857 bytes) Here is a photo of an unknown Combat Tracker and Lab running through the obstacle course at Camp Enari, near Pleiku.  In the background are the guard towers for the POW area.
GA-12.jpg (39874 bytes) These excerpts are from the best-selling Army booklet entitled, "Guide to Selected Viet Cong Equipment and Explosive Devices."

Note: also in this booklet is a detailed description of the "elusive" enemy bicycle mine which was created to fool American soldiers! The bicycle mine is made from an ordinary bicycle which has its tubular frame filled with explosives. Did any of the Trackers run into the "Clever Bicycle Mine"?  Incidentally, the detonator was cleverly hidden in the headlight!

GA-7.jpg (12314 bytes) Going home!  Greg and his very own Freedom Bird.  The last day in Viet Nam.
GA-10.jpg (22697 bytes) This was an earlier shot of Greg with Goldie at Camp Enari.  Shown behind was the "elusive" Choi Hoi.
GA-11.jpg (29262 bytes) Greg in 1998 still Tracking but in this case fish.  We are assuming that the name of the boat is not the game of his intention in this photo!

A very special THANK YOU to Patti Albertson for supplying most of the "elusive" captions!   Sue couldn't resist a few additional comments.....
