Sonny Apman and Kaye Coates (Kaye
and others provided many of the photos on this page. Thanks.) Sonny hosted the 2022 Reunion in Kansas City-Independence, MO. He selected a great resort/hotel. There was a lake with waterfall surrounded by walking paths. The venue was perfect. Thanks Sonny. Photo by Coates |

Beautiful display made by Walter Ennis'
wife Kathy. Both the Ennises and the Patricks purchased snacks and
beverages. They and others brought coolers to keep things just right.
Donations were accepted and all was well in the Hospitality Suite. Photo by Coates |

Tourist Trackers at the WWI Museum in
Kansas City. Sonny Apman, Bob Konarske, Hal Hostetler, Larry Cohran, Oscar
Diaz, Grant Coates, Tom Dodd, Walter Ennis, Frank Merritt. Glad we missed that war... Photo by Coates |

The hotel was in Independence, MO so a
trip to the Truman Presidential Library and Museum was in order. That's
Bob Konarske, Frank Merritt, Harry (the big bronze guy...) and Sonny Apman.
"Give 'em hell Harry" served in WWI and never forgot his fellow veterans.
Every year he attended his unit's reunions. Although not a Tracker we
appreciate his sentiments. Photo by Coates |

Our Memorial Ceremony begins. Invocation
with song and prayer by Pastor Debra Edwards. She attended with husband, and
first time attendee, Harold Edwards. Harold was a team leader with the 62nd
IPCT attached to the 1st Cavalry Division (AM). That's Harold, far right in
profile, with K.O. Mills. Photo by Coates |

Sonny speaks to the Group. He addressed
the location for next year's reunion, and thanked all for making this years
get-together a success. Then it was time for our buffet meal. Break bread
and chow down. Photo by Coates |

After dinner it was auction time. First
on was Don Campbell with proceeds going to the Tracker Scholarship fund. Don
reported that over the years we have donated 14K to the fund. Don is to the
left with service dog Kiera. Great job! Behind Don is Bob Konarske (with the
beard). He handled the general fund auction and was ably assisted by
daughter Ryan (to the left of Don). Featured were Adirondack chairs (see far
right corner) made in Bob's shop. Great work, great job. Not shown are Tom
and Yvonne Auer. This year Yvonne made and sold one of her Tracker theme
quilts. She then donated the proceeds to the general fund. Thanks to the
Auers. Photo by Coates |

There was always lively discussion in the
Hospitality room. Here's Bill Welch (he directed the Tracker program in
Vietnam) talking with John Carroll. John's thinking about why he was sent to
the Ivy when such a good time was had in Malaysia. Bill's saying "it was
your turn in the barrel, kid". Photo by Coates |

Map reading - Walter Ennis, Jack Patrick
(hidden), and Oscar Diaz as Sonny Apman looks on. Oscar says, "I was right
there at LZ Two Bits in Bong Son, II Corps". Oscar remembers and wrote an
historic novel titled "Chasing Tomorrow's Nightmares". It's a tale of a
Tracker serving with the "Herd", 173rd Airborne Brigade, in the Central
Highlands of Vietnam. The good times and the bad times are portrayed, along
with the times you never forget. A good read. Get the book. Photo from Hal Hostetler |

The Tracker Ladies - without you the Reunion would not have
been possible. Thanks for the support. Photo
by Coates A note from Sue: To All of my Tracker Family - oh, how I miss you! I must say, however, you all look great! I will see you next year - but know you are all in my heart |
