Bryn.2gif.jpg (21898 bytes) This photo and those below were sent by Bob Baker who was graduated from BJWS and was Airborne qualified and attached to the 173 Airborne Brigade as the 75th IPCT (CTT 75).  They were taken at An Khe circa 1968 where the 173rd had one hell of a time ridding themselves of the "Horse on the Mountain"! A special note on the pictures from Bob, his son worked on getting them to us with him.
Bob & Friend.JPG (50323 bytes) Bob and friend Bryn 6B47.
Bob & Friend resting.JPG (48774 bytes) The friends resting.

Murphy3A.jpg (27309 bytes) These two photos are of Bob Baker's first dog back "in the world" in 1976. "Murphy" (named for a drunken Irishman) was worth the wait.  It seems that Murphy enjoyed eating beer cans - empty OR full! Murphy also protected his family.  When the Bakers went on a mini-vacation, their house was broken into and there was blood on the wall of the Family Room.  The neighborhood A.H. was seen walking down the street with his hand bandaged---due to dog bite!
Love Water1.jpg (14942 bytes) Ziggy, Bob's best buddy, a pure Golden Retriever and gun trained.   Bob rescued him from Hwy. I-95 during a storm and found that he was fully trained.   Bob's 2 year old son couldn't get into the pool because Ziggy would drag him out by his pants! He worked on silent commands. Bob also has Liberty who was his recovery nurse and Xena, who is a little one - but thinks she's a Rottweiler!
