This page is also from Larry Snitgen. To the left is CTT#3 on patrol. In front is Gerald Seever followed by Mike Sheer and Skipper. Skipper had originally been Frank Merritt's dog at BJWS, but after several attempted "buggerings" on Skipper's part, Merritt went to CPL Sammi. Sammi thought there was a "personality problem" and switched dogs/handlers. So Sheer got Skipper and Merritt got Sambo.

Skipper and his friends. He may be looking for someone to bugger and they may be looking for something to eat?
This is an unidentified Scout dog and handler with the 4th Infantry Division in 1967. Perhaps someone with the VDHA can tell us who they are?
Larry Snitgen of CTT#3 in 1967 with some VICTOR CHARLES that have a very serious problem.
Larry went back to NAM for a second tour in 1970. He was with the 62nd
IPCT, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). On the stretcher is Thomas Brown, handler and to
his right is Larry. The dog and others are unidentified. Update - March 11, 2009: Standing on the left is Jimmy W. Adams. |
