We Remember




	Rick Tidwell passed away on August 7, 2019. He was a member of the 75th IDCT in 1968-69 attached to the 173rd Airborne Brigade. A graduate of BJWS, Rick handled Bryn 6B47. Of Bryn Bob Baker says "Tracker dog extraordinaire... who always knew the right thing!" Rick and Bryn are missed and honored by all that served with them. RIP
	David Kast pasted away on March 16, 2022. He was a BJWS graduate and handled Rebel 4A70. He served on the 66th IPCT attached to the 25th Infantry Division in 1968-69. David is buried at the San Carlos Apache Tribal Veterans Cemetery - an honor. "I received a call from his son giving me the sad news. David and I first met at a Tracker reunion. We had both been dog handlers so we talked dog, tracking, how things should and shouldn't work. We talked about our time in Vietnam. Back then David had been severely wounded. He had a long and difficult recovery and through it all was positive. To me that was David, always positive. We didn't spend a lot of time together. Didn't email, or talk on the phone. Still I consider him a friend. He was a good man, a good soldier, a friend. Miss you buddy". Frank Merritt
